Tools stolen from Wallaceburg business

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after approximately $1,800 worth of tools were stolen from a business in Wallaceburg.

Police were called to the business on Baldoon Road Saturday after unknown suspects forced their way into a garage and took a concrete cutter and other items.

Police said the theft took place sometime over the past week.

Two arrested on outstanding warrants 

Chatham-Kent police have knocked a couple more names off their outstanding warrant list.

A 41-year-old Wallaceburg woman, known to have an outstanding warrant, was arrested Saturday in the area of James Street.

Police said an arrested warrant was issued after the woman failed to comply with her release conditions.

She was arrested for the warrant and later released with a future court date of July 22, 2022.

A 38-year-old Chatham woman was arrested Saturday evening in the area of Wellington Street in Chatham.

Police said the woman was known to have an outstanding arrest warrant issued for her for failing to attend court.

She was later released with a future court date.
