Howard Township collision sends two people to hospital

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a serious collision in Howard Township on Wednesday that sent two people to the hospital.

According to police, around 8:16 a.m., the driver of a hydro-vac truck that was travelling south on Victoria Road lost control of the vehicle. The driver attempted to regain control, however, the truck tipped over onto the driver's side.

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time. The driver sustained a serious injury to the head and was airlifted to a London hospital. The passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
