Lambton OPP say one person has died after being struck by a vehicle at Walpole Island Monday night.
First responders were called to Chiefs Road at around 11:30 p.m. A section of the roadway was closed for the investigation and has since reopened.
Cst. Jamie Bydeley said the pedestrian was taken to hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The name of the person is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
