Several daytime cooling centres are opening their doors across Chatham-Kent again for anyone who is looking to escape the heat.
Environment Canada has issued another heat warning for Chatham-Kent, warning about hot and sunny conditions for the next few days and possibly all week.
Municipal offices in Blenheim, Chatham, Ridgetown, Tilbury, and Wallaceburg, will offer space for people to stop in, sit, have a drink of water, and cool off during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can find those locations by clicking here.
Employment and Social Services at 435 Grand Avenue West in Chatham and Hope Haven on Wellington Street West in Chatham are both offering the same service.
In Wallaceburg, the James Street Drop-In Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and anyone who needs transportation to get there can contact the Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628.
