Wallaceburg man charged after damaging restaurant window with a rock 

A 39-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing a mischief charge after allegedly throwing a rock at a window of a local fast-food restaurant.

Police said they responded to the restaurant on St. Clair Street in Chatham around 12 p.m. Saturday.

Damages are estimated at around $1,000.

Police said the man was located a short time afterwards and arrested.

He was charged with mischief under $5,000 and lodged for a bail hearing.

Two people wanted by Chatham-Kent police arrested

The law has come calling for a man and a woman who were both wanted by Chatham-Kent police.

A 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested Saturday after being stopped by police on Stanley Avenue in Chatham.

Police said a query of the woman revealed that she was wanted by police for an outstanding warrant.

She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

Early the same day, a 42-year-old Chatham man was arrested while attending the police station in Wallaceburg.

Police said he was also wanted by police on an outstanding warrant.

He was arrested, taken to police headquarters in Chatham and later released with a future court date.
