Bothwell Man Charged with Assault

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old man from Bothwell with two counts of uttering threats and four counts of assault after a domestic dispute in Chatham.

Police said the incident happened at a Wellington Street residence in Chatham on Saturday.

Police said an argument took place between the man and a woman and he allegedly threatened to harm the woman and pushed her. A family member witnessing the altercation attempted to intervene and was also allegedly threatened and assaulted, according to police. Investigators said the assault continued outside where it's alleged the suspect continued to spit and shove the family member.

The man turned himself in at police headquarters on Monday.

Police Looking for Stolen Tractor

Police in Chatham-Kent are looking for a tractor that was stolen in Bothwell over the weekend.

Police said a red Massey Ferguson tractor, model 253 was taken from a field adjacent to Zone Road 7 and Chatham Line 1 in Bothwell sometime between May 14 2022 and May 15 2022. The tractor has a front-end loader and a metal hook welded to the middle of the bucket, according to police.
