Another COVID death in Sarnia-Lambton

There has been another COVID-19 death in Sarnia-Lambton.

In its update Monday, Lambton Public Health reported that since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, there have been 129 deaths related to the virus locally. The latest was an individual in their 80s who died in hospital.

The health unit reported 26 new lab confirmed cases since its report on Friday, for a total of 10,024 over the last two years.

There is one active outbreak at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia.

There are seven COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, one in intensive care.

Crash in Tilbury claims driver's life

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
