Domestic disturbance leads to arrest 

A 19-year-old is facing several charges after allegedly pointing an airsoft pistol at one of his ex-girlfriend's family members in Chatham.

According to police, officers were called to a domestic disturbance on Wednesday at a residence on Sheldon Avenue.

The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend was trying to break into her home. The victim's cousins were inside at the time and confronted the ex-boyfriend.

At that point, the man allegedly pointed an airsoft pistol at the cousins. According to police, they were able to wrestle the pistol away from him.

Officers arrived and arrested the 19-year-old. He was charged with numerous offences and held for a bail hearing.

Warrant arrest 

Chatham-Kent police were able to nab a woman who was on their wanted list.

On Wednesday, officers were called to a disturbance on Longwoods Road.

While investigating, police received information that one of the women involved in the disturbance was wanted on outstanding warrants, including a DNA warrant.

The 37-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and held for bail.
