Chatham-Kent's top health official is urging all who attended a Catholic Women's League dinner in Tilbury on Monday to self monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
CK Public Health announced on Friday afternoon that "multiple" people with COVID-19 attended the dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Tilbury. Public health officials said that all attendees at the dinner were fully vaccinated and so their contacts are not required to isolate.
Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby wants anyone who develops symptoms to get tested immediately. Colby is recommending that everyone who went to the dinner book an appointment to get tested on Monday and is asking that those who have been identified as a close contact and called by the health unit to follow the testing guidance given.
