Severe thunderstorms and heavy downpours rolled through parts of southwestern Ontario to offer some relief from the heat and humidity.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm watches on Wednesday for Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent, London-Middlesex, as well as Oxford and Elgin counties.
Throughout the afternoon and early evening, watches in some areas were upgraded to warnings for several hours before being downgraded back to watches.
A rainfall warning was also put in place for the same areas. By 9:10 p.m., all warnings and watches were lifted.
