New COVID-19 cases added Wednesday in Midwestern Ontario

Grey Bruce Public Health added 32 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, including 15 in Saugeen First Nation.

There were five new cases in Owen Sound, four in Saugeen Shores, two in Arran-Elderslie, two in The Blue Mountains, and one each in Hanover, Huron-Kinloss, Kincardine and Southgate.

There are 157 active cases.

16 residents are now hospitalized with the virus, including two people who had to be transferred to hospitals outside of Grey Bruce for care.

Eight Grey Bruce Residents with the virus have passed away during the pandemic.

Huron Perth Public Health added three new cases of COVID-19 today, in Stratford, Morris-Turnberry and Central Huron.

There are eleven active cases. One resident is hospitalized with the virus. The death toll remains at 57.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added four new cases of COVID-19 today, but none of them in Wellington County.

There are 15 active cases in Wellington, six in Minto, six in Wellington North and one in Mapleton.

Across the public health region, four residents are hospitalized with the virus.

There are two workplace outbreaks.
