Serious crash sends two Wallaceburg residents to hospital

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a two vehicle crash in Wallaceburg early Saturday morning that sent two people to the hospital -- one with serious injuries.

Police said they were called to the scene at around 5:40 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Kimball Road and Langstaff Line.

Both of the drivers involved in the collision were taken to the hospital in Wallaceburg for medical attention.

Officers said a 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman was treated there for minor injuries while a 71-year-old Wallaceburg man was later air lifted to a hospital in London for treatment of serious injuries.

The Traffic Management Unit is in charge of the investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Dan Carroll at dancar@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
