Grey Bruce Health Unit reports COVID-19 case at local nursery school

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is working with Queen of Hearts Nursery School to address a probable case of COVID-19 associated with a cohort at the centre in Owen Sound. A probable case is defined as direct link with a positive case, symptomatic and has not been tested.

According to public health, the assessment, to date, indicates that transmission did not take place within the childcare centre environment. Currently there are no outbreaks which would mean evidence of transmission from person to person in any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.

Another three cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Grey Bruce Health Unit Monday, in Owen Sound, Kincardine and Hanover.

There are 21 active and five probable cases. One person is in hospital. The death toll remains at one.

So far, 1,320 Doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce.
