Some students to spend winter break in quarantine

A few more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed at schools in London.

On Saturday, the Thames Valley District School Board confirmed a positive case at Eagle Heights Public School, West Oaks French Immersion Public School, and AB Lucas Secondary School -- where there are now two active cases.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit is working with the schools to identify close contacts of the positive cases. Only those contacted directly by Public Health officials will be advised to quarantine for 14 days.

Students marked their last day of school before the winter break on Friday. Students and staff were told to take home their personal belongings just in case a switch to remote learning is made in the new year.

There are currently 29 active COVID-19 cases within Thames Valley school communities.

The London District Catholic School Board is reporting seven active cases within its school communities. A list of active cases can be found by clicking, here.

The London-area saw a jump in COVID-19 cases with 87 new cases and four additional deaths reported on Saturday.
