COVID outbreak over at Sarnia LTC home

The local active COVID-19 caseload has dropped back down to zero over the past 24 hours, after a recent uptick in infections this month.

On its website Thursday night, Lambton Public Health reported the lone active case had been deemed resolved.

An outbreak declared at Twin Lakes Terrace on October 15 is over. Two staff members at the long-term care home that had tested positive for COVID have now both recovered.

The last new case of the virus in Sarnia-Lambton was reported on Sunday, and the death toll is unchanged in nearly five months at 25.

Since March 25, there have been 369 cases locally, 344 recoveries.
