A 33-year-old Tilbury man has been arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation that started earlier this summer.
Chatham-Kent police said they made the arrest after following up on a complaint of found child pornography on August 29, 2020.
Police seized a cell phone in connection with the case and members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a warrant on September 14, 2020, to access the phone.
Officers said their analysis confirmed the man was in possession of child pornography images and videos, which were also distributed on two separate dates.
As a result of the investigation, a Tilbury man was arrested on Monday and charged with one count of possessing child pornography and two counts of distributing child pornography.
He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
