New COVID-19 related death in Windsor-Essex

Another person has died as a result of COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex.

The latest fatality was a man in his 70s from a retirement home. The regional death toll now stands at 75.

There were also three new cases of COVID-19 reported on Monday. Two are local healthcare workers and one is from close contact of a confirmed source.

This marks the third day in a row that Windsor-Essex saw three daily cases. The latest cases bring the total case count to 2,551.

An outbreak was also declared at a second retirement home in Leamington. There remains one workplace outbreak in Windsor-Essex, at a manufacturing plant in Tecumseh.

Additionally, seven more cases were listed as being resolved. So far, 2,391 individuals have recovered from the virus in the region.
