Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton is teeing up for "The Big Drop" next month.
The organization is selling 2,500 golf balls, for $5 each, to raise funds for the different programs offered through the agency.
Student spokesperson Abigail Zalewski said they've already sold over half.
"We had to get creative with all of the new safety restrictions in place," said Zalewski. "So, we are selling tickets online at our website, which is sarnia.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca and it will correspond with a numbered golf ball."
She said if they sell out, they'll raise $12,500.
"On the day of the event, which is September 24, at 1:30 p.m., all of the golf balls will be dropped at Greystone Golf Course from a crane donated by Mammoet. Whichever ball lands in the hole, or closest to the hole, will win our $2500 cash prize."
Zalewski said golf balls will also be available for sale at their "Kids Helping Kids Golf Tournament" September 1, also at Greystone, on Confederation Line in Sarnia.
Children, ages 11 to 16 years old, are invited to participate.
Last year, the "Big Squeeze", which saw businesses compete for the best lemonade in Sarnia-Lambton, raised just over $6,700.
