Local COVID-19 cases increase

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting eight active cases of COVID -19.

That is double from what was reported on Friday. One of the new cases was confirmed in Huron County with the three others in Perth County.

Since the pandemic started, there have been 82 positive cases with 74 being resolved.

The case count in Grey and Bruce continues to hold steady as some cases are resolved.

There have been 115 recovered cases, but a confirmed case in South Bruce Peninsula on Monday keeps the number of active cases at three. A confirmed case on Sunday was in Brockton.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit also reports that a preliminary positive case is now confirmed as a false positive so it will not be added to the totals.

No new cases were reported in Wellington County in Monday's update from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph-Public Health.
