Services altered for Civic Holiday

Garbage and recycling collection will be pushed back by one day to accommodate the Civic long weekend.

The Chatham Leaf & Yard Depot, Harwich Transfer Station, and Wallaceburg Transfer Station will be closed on Monday. All other transfer stations will be open during regular hours.

Municipal offices will be closed on August 3.

Some services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will also be altered for the Civic Holiday.

Routine x-rays, electrocardiograms, and ultrasounds will not be available on Monday at the hospitals in Chatham and Wallaceburg. However, the departments will be staffed for emergencies.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program out-patient department will be closed on Monday. The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic will also be closed. Those who need these services immediately are asked to call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or visit an emergency room.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will be closed on August 3.

The business and cashier's offices will be closed on Monday, however, there are two bill changers in the building to change for coins.

Emergency departments at both hospitals in Chatham-Kent will remain open 24 hours daily.
