Active COVID cases drop again

Another person in Sarnia-Lambton has beaten COVID-19, bringing the active cases down to 10.

Lambton Public Health reported Wednesday night that 299 people have contracted the virus, unchanged since Monday, and that 25 people have died, which hasn't changed in almost two months.

Bluewater Health hasn't seen a COVID-positive patient since June 15 -- the Sarnia hospital reported Thursday that 20 patients are currently in hospital with tests pending for the virus, including pre-surgical screening.

Across all of Ontario Wednesday, there were just 76 new cases reported, the province's lowest 24-hour increase since March 22.
