Dangerous drugs seized in Midwestern Ontario

Officers from the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit and Hanover Police Service worked together on a drug investigation that resulted in $108,350.00. worth of meth and oxycodone being seized during a vehicle stop.

Police says the investigation impacted communities in Grey County, Bruce County, and Wellington County.

As a result of the investigation, members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a vehicle stop along Sideroad 5 in West Grey Township.

Following a search of the vehicle, police seized more than a kilogram of Methamphetamine and 336 Oxycodone pills and a quantity of cash as offence-related property.

Greg Benninger, 45, of Hanover and Kris Vandonkersgoed, 33, of West Grey Township, were both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking

Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on October 7, 2020, to answer to the charges.
