Latest COVID-19 statistics encouraging

Ontario now has over 3,700 cases of COVID-19 confirmed since the pandemic began, including 2,732 deaths.

102 new cases were reported on Thursday, which is down 8 per cent from Wednesday.

There are 1,400 active cases across the province, with 115 in the hospital.

There are five active cases in Wellington County. Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported 19 confirmed active cases on Thursday and no hospitalizations.

The most recent report from Grey Bruce Public Health shows no new cases and one lab positive patient recovering at home.

There is one active case in Huron and Perth counties.  Huron Perth Public Health has a total of 59 confirmed cases.

Crash in Tilbury claims driver's life

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
