New COVID-19 cases reported in Midwestern Ontario

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health reports two new cases of COVID-19 on Monday in Wellington County.

There are five active cases in the county, but no hospitalizations. Across Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph there are four new cases and 34 active cases. Two people are in the hospital. 37 people have died in the jurisdiction, two in Wellington County.

Huron Perth Public health reports no new cases Monday. There was one new case on Friday, for a total of one active case.

No new cases were reported by Grey-Bruce Public Health and there are now six active cases, all recovering at home. In total there have been 103 recovered cases.

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Chatham-Kent police, the victim was walking around King Street East in Chatham when she was approached by a woman she didn't know and struck in the face.
