COVID testing tops 13,000, caseload unchanged

The number of COVID-19 tests completed in Sarnia-Lambton topped 13,000 in Sunday night's update, while the number of cases, recoveries and deaths were all unchanged over the previous 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health has received the results of 13,032 tests, an increase of 72 tests from Saturday, with 97.8 per cent coming back negative.

The health unit is still reporting 286 confirmed cases of the virus, unchanged since Friday, 25 deaths, the latest reported on June 6, and 258 recovered.

Since June 15, Bluewater Health has not had any COVID-positive patients — 5 patients in hospital are suspected of having the virus with tests pending.
