Dispute between neighbours
Two people had to be arrested after a neighbourhood dispute.
It started when officers responded to a dispute on Thelma Street. Police had received two separate calls about the incident.
Through investigation, it was discovered that neighbours had assaulted each other during this dispute. Both parties were arrested and taken to the police station.
They were both given future court dates and conditions to stay away from each other.
Woman involved with police twice in one day
Friday evening police arrested a woman in Chatham after she failed to follow her bail conditions.
The woman had been involved with police earlier in the day and advised to stay away from a Houston Street address.
However, she did not listen and returned to the address later in the evening while allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
The woman was currently on bail and was under conditions to not consume alcohol.
She was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was held for bail.
Man arrested after smashing doors
A call about a disturbance led to an arrest in Chatham.
Police were contacted about reports of a man yelling in the Richmond Street area.
According to police, the man had allegedly damaged two separate doors at a complex in the area.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief.
He was eventually released with a future court date.
Bottle thrower turns herself in
On June 27 a woman threw a bottle through a residential window causing $600 in damage.
The woman was identified and eventually turned herself into police headquarters.
She was released with a future court date.
