COVID-19 cases climb in Midwestern Ontario

The number of COVID 19 cases is climbing slowly in parts of midwestern Ontario.

Huron Perth Public Health reports one new case of COVID-19 today after a long stretch with zero new cases.   The new case in Perth County is the only active case.  The region has seen 58 positive cases and two fatalities.

Health officials reported two new cases in Wellington County on Friday for a total of six active cases, which are all recovering at home.

Southgate had a positive case confirmed by Grey Bruce Public health last evening, but no new cases in Friday's report. There are a total of six active cases in Grey Bruce, and no hospitalizations.

Chatham-Kent police reported a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed in the crash at Jeanettes Creek Road and Coutts Line around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
