Bluewater Health COVID fund gets boost from McDonald's, shrine club

Bluewater Health Foundation's COVID-19 donation fund recently received a big boost, thanks to the generosity of residents who also enjoy a cup of McDonald's coffee.

The foundation said $16,640 was raised from the local McDonald's car decal fundraiser, a two-week campaign which began April 3.

For a $5 donation, customers received a decal and any size coffee in support of front line staff at Bluewater Health. The initiative was spearheaded by local restaurant owners Peter and Colleen Buckley.

The Lambton Shrine Club also recently donated $10,000 to the hospital's COVID-19 fund.
