Suspicious man in pickup approached teen girls in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a suspicious man and his vehicle.

Police said they put out the call for information after getting a report Tuesday night about a middle-aged man driving a pickup truck on Murray Street in Wallaceburg who attempted to stop two teenage girls who were walking in that area.

Officers said the girls did not talk to the man and the man did not get out of his vehicle.

The truck is described as an older blue four-door truck with part of the front bumper missing and white roof lights.

Anyone with information that could help police identify or locate the man or his truck is asked to contact Constable Kristen Charron at kristenc@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600 ext. 87352. You can also submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
