Bruce County puts out a call for protective supplies

The call for medical supplies has now reached the county level.

As federal and provincial leaders have put out a call to mobilize industry to help produce more medical supplies, Bruce County is asking for the public’s help in sourcing protective equipment for first responders and front line health care workers.

That includes N95 masks (model numbers 3M18710, 3M9210 and 3MVFlex), nitrile gloves, disposable impermeable gowns and general surgical masks.

County officials say any business or supplier can call  Environmental Services at 519-881-1291 Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Or an email can be sent to info@brucecounty.on.ca.

Anyone submitting and email to indicate PPE Supplies in the subject line and include the number and types of PPE available for purchase or donation.

Bruce County staff will then arrange a time and pick-up location.
