The Ontario Provincial Police are looking for help in locating a driver who took off from the scene of a collision in Leamington Wednesday night.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. on Talbot Street West, near Erie Shores Healthcare. A Chevrolet Malibu was going east when a blue or dark-grey SUV pulled out of the parking lot of a McDonald's. The Malibu rear-ended the SUV and caused severe damage. The SUV then left the scene.
The driver of the Malibu suffered minor injuries. It is not known if the driver of the SUV was hurt, according to OPP Constable Shawn Eagen.
The SUV, which had substantial rear-end damage, was last seen travelling eastbound on Talbot Street West.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or with information on the SUV or its driver, is asked to call the Essex County OPP at (519) 326-2544, or 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and be eligible for a cash reward.
