Man arrested for stealing from grandma
A 34-year-old Chatham man is in legal trouble after allegedly stealing from his grandmother.
Police arrested the man in Wallaceburg Saturday afternoon in relation to an elder abuse investigation.
He was charged with three counts of fraud under $5,000. It's alleged he fraudulently took money from his grandma's bank account.
He was held for a bail hearing and the Major Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate.
Man charged with assaulting police
A man learned the hard way to comply with the police.
It started around 2 a.m. Sunday when cops were called to a residence on Harvey Street in Chatham for reports of a disturbance.
A man in the home confronted the officers and proceeded to allegedly push and kick them
The 29-year-old was arrested for assaulting police, resist and breach of probation.
No injuries are being reported.
Woman charged with break and enter
A routine traffic stop turned into several charges for a woman in Chatham.
Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, police pulled over a vehicle on Grand Avenue East.
The 39-year-old was arrested on outstanding warrants for two counts of break and enter.
Upon being searched, the woman was found in possession of stolen property and she was charged accordingly.
She was later released from custody with a future court date.
Break and enter in Chatham
Police are looking for tips after a break and enter in Chatham.
It happened sometime overnight on February 28 into the 29th.
Unknown suspects entered a 5th wheel camper on Creek Road and stole various items including a 43" Samsung TV.

Executed warrants
Police were able to cross two names off their wanted list.
Saturday around 7 a.m., a man was arrested at his residence in Morpeth on several warrants. The 36-year-old was held for a bail hearing.
Then, at 2 p.m. Saturday, a 25-year-old man was arrested on Lyon avenue in Tilbury on outstanding warrants. He was held for a bail hearing.
