Driver faces speeding, cannabis charges in 402 traffic stop

Lambton OPP charged a driver with speeding and having cannabis readily available following a traffic stop early Thursday on Highway 402.

At around 1:45 a.m. an officer saw a vehicle in Plympton-Wyoming travelling at a high rate of speed.

When the vehicle was stopped police say an odour of marijuana was detected and marijuana was allegedly found inside the console.

A 22-year-old from Chatham faces charges under the Highway Traffic Act and the Cannabis Control Act.
