OPP searches for Leamington peeper

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public for help in locating a man suspected of peeping into at least one Leamington home.

A woman called police around 8:30 p.m. last Wednesday, saying she saw a man looking into her Poplar Street home through a bathroom window. When the woman noticed the man, he immediately hopped a fence and ran from the scene in a westerly direction.

OPP Constable Jim Root said officers combed the immediate area but the man was not located.

The man is described as about 40 years of age with tanned or light brown skin, and grey hair and grey eyebrows. He stood about 6'0" and was wearing a winter jacket and a toque.

Anyone who may know who this person is or with additional information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
