Flyers edge Maroons 4-3

The Chatham Maroons suffered their third defeat in a row with a 4-3 loss to the Leamington Flyers on Thursday.

Cam Symons scored in the first three minutes of the game to give Chatham an early lead but Leamington scored one of their own at the 4:46 mark to tie the game. Aleksa Babic scored 7:39 into the first period to regain the lead for the Maroons heading into the second.

The Flyers tied the game with a goal just after five minutes into the second before Zach Power scored to make it 3-2 for Chatham. However, once again, the Flyers were able to keep pace by scoring with just over five minutes left in the period.

Leamington scored the game-winning goal 10:04 into the final frame.

The Flyers also outshot the Maroons 37-30.

The Maroons are back on home ice on Sunday to face off against the Strathroy Rockets at 7 p.m.
