Christmas tree pickup starts Monday

With Christmas behind us, many Chatham-Kent residents are wondering what to do with their tree.

Starting Monday, January 6, residents can put their tree at the curb for pickup on their regular garbage and recycling day. The tree must be clear of any decorations.

The tree will count as a bag towards the limit, but for the next two weeks until Friday, January 17, the bag limit will increase to four.

You can also recycle your tree for free by dropping it off at the municipal leaf and yard depot, or at any of the transfer stations in Camden, Dover, Harwich, and Wallaceburg, and at the public works yards in Bothwell, Ridgetown, and Tilbury.
