Coins and footwear stolen from Chatham business 

A 21-year-old man is charged after a Tuesday morning break and enter on Richmond Street in Chatham.

During an investigation, police said they obtained surveillance of the man who allegedly forced his way into a business in the area and stole a number of collectible coins and some footwear.

He was arrested last night on Lorne Avenue, where police said he was wearing the same clothing and carrying the same duffle bag as seen on tape.

The Chatham man is in custody and is waiting for a bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man charged with assault

A 58-year-old man is being held in custody by police after a woman with injuries to her face approached police.

He was arrested on Tuesday after police said they learned the woman had been assaulted at her house earlier this week.

The two parties are known to each other, police said.

The 58-year-old Wallaceburg man is formally charged with assault.

He was taken into custody pending a court date.

Blenheim crash sends one to hospital

Chatham-Kent police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Sandys Street near John Street Tuesday morning and charged one of the drivers with failing to yield the right of way.

One man was taken to hospital as a precaution as a result of the crash.

The estimated damage from the crash is $4,000.

Minor injuries reported in Dover crash

Emergency crews responded to a two-car collision on Dover Centre Line near Bear Line Road at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The estimated damage from the collision is set at $20,000.
