Lancers' boys hockey team competes in SWOSSAA final

It's a first for the UCC Lancers' boys hockey team.

They're hosting LaSalle Villanova at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Erickson Arena with the winner taking home the SWOSSAA title.

The Lancers advanced to the final for the first time with a win over CKSS in the LKSSAA 'AAA' championship.

The winner will move on to OFSAA in Barrie, which is taking place from March 20-22.

Dresden Bantam Rep team advances to OMHA finals

The Dresden Junior Kings Bantam Rep Team has made it to the DD OMHA finals.

They went undefeated throughout the playoffs beating West Lorne in four games, St. George in three and Huron Bruce in three.

They will now face the Otonabee Wolves in the Championships.

Purple Cobras promote epilepsy awareness

The Kent TekSavvy Cobras PeeWee Minor AA team decked themselves out in purple Friday night at Memorial Arena in Chatham in support of epilepsy awareness.

The players put on purple laces, tape on their sticks, and purple ribbons on their helmets while parents also sported purple apparel in the crowd.
