Rollover leads to charges

A rollover in Chatham has led to impaired driving charges for a 24-year-old woman.

According to police, officers attended a single-vehicle rollover around 5 a.m. Saturday on Baldoon road.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation of a vehicle and taken to the police station for breathalyzers, which showed she was almost double the legal limit.

The Chatham woman was charged with an impaired and being over the legal limit. She was released with a future court date.

Damages from the crash are pegged around $20,000.

Woman arrested on warrant

In October, a 23-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on drug charges and was later released from custody with a court date.

When she did not attend the court date, a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Saturday, the woman turned herself into the police. She was arrested and eventually released with a future court date.

Man arrested on warrants 

On Saturday, police found a 24-year-old Chatham man who was wanted on a warrant for domestic-related assault and dangerous driving offences, which happened earlier in the week.

He was arrested and taken to the police station where he was held for bail.

According to Chatham-Kent police, the victim was walking around King Street East in Chatham when she was approached by a woman she didn't know and struck in the face.
