Nationals defeat Maroons in overtime 4-3

The Chatham Maroons were defeated by the London Nationals in overtime 4-3 on Sunday night.

London's Evan Ilkos was the first to score a goal 4:10 into the first period. Dallas Maurovic responded with a power-play goal for the Maroons.

The Maroons' Aleksa Babic and Maddux Rychel scored two consecutive goals in the second period.

The Nationals tied up the game with two back-to-back goals from Michael Boushy and a power-play goal from Max Vinogradov, forcing the game into overtime.

Billy Faragher scored in the overtime period, giving the win to the Nationals.

Maroons goalie Kevin Linker saved 33 out of 37 shots on net.

The Maroons will face off against the St. Thomas Stars on Friday. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
