There's a new attraction in downtown Chatham.
A new laser tag place called Flashpoint has opened at 162 Queen Street and owner Jay Denorer is very excited about it. The grand opening was held on Friday.
Denorer said Flashpoint offers an extensive selection of games like Juggernaut, Zombie Apocalypse, Leave No One Behind and many more. He said the goal is to offer something to everyone closer to home.
"I'm a father of three and I would drive my kids to Windsor to go play laser tag or arcade and I thought you know what why not bring something closer to home where families don't have to do so much travelling and gearing it towards families who didn't have vehicles and who couldn't drive out of town," said Denorer.

Denorer said the facility can accommodate large groups with 4,200 square feet of space and is perfect for families.
"Put up some obstacles and barriers and dimmed down the lights. We have 26 guns and we can take up groups of 13 per side or 26 people. We put them in the arena and offer nine games that we can play," he added.
Denorer said that Flashpoint is perfect for workplaces looking to help reduce employee stress because the unique environment helps workers feel energized and revitalized.
"It's slowly picking up and now we have more and more people show up. We're starting to see the repeats, only being open for a few days and having the same people showing up because they enjoyed it that much," Denorer said.
The facility also has a party room for birthdays and celebrations, which comes with a professionally trained staff member.
