Country View Golf will have a new owner next month

A prominent Chatham family has bought a local golf course owned by another well-known Chatham family.

Country View Golf Course has been sold to Darrell Chapple of Chapple Fuels. Chapple will take over the Dover Centre course November 1.

The 27 hole golf course located between Chatham and Wallaceburg is owned by Randy Hooker.

Chapple's brother Wayne has told Blackburn News that the land will remain a golf course for now and more details will be made public when Chapple officially owns the property next month.

The deal has been in the works for many weeks.

Country View Golf was founded in 1958. It has been at St. Clair Road and Countryview Line since 1980.
