Woman charged with drunk driving after leaving LCBO
After unsuccessfully trying to buy booze, a Wallaceburg woman was charged with drinking and driving.
According to police, the accused 25-year-old was denied service at the Wallaceburg LCBO store on Saturday because she showed signs of intoxication. Officers were called and they located the woman driving. The officers believed her ability to drive was impaired by alcohol and she was arrested.
The woman was taken to the police station for a breathalyzer and eventually charged with having a blood alcohol concentration higher than the legal limit. She was released from custody once she was sober and given a future court date.

Around 3:30 p.m. Saturday police responded to a theft call at the LCBO in Wallaceburg.
When officers arrived in the area, they located the 23-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was suspected of the crime and charged her with theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000. She was taken into police custody and held until she sobered up.

A man is facing charges of being intoxicated in public after reports of a disturbance in Chatham.
Police responded to the disturbance call last night in the area of Sheldon Avenue. Officers located the 49-year-old Chatham man and took him into custody for his own safety as they believed he was unable to care for himself.
The man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place, transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and lodged till sober.
