Man charged after allegedly choking his girlfriend
A 36-year-old man is accused of choking his girlfriend after an incident in Dover on Sunday.
Police responded to the domestic incident after an argument at a campground allegedly turned violent overnight. It is alleged the man also punched the woman's vehicle, shattering the driver's side window.
The name of the Chatham man is not being released by police.
He is formally charged with overcome resistance by choking and mischief under $5,000.
The man is currently being held in custody and is awaiting a court date.

Suspicious person report leads to arrest
A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply after a suspicious person report was called in to police.
Police responded to the incident on Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday. Officers located the man and through an investigation, learned that he was wanted for breaching conditions of his probation order.
The accused was released and will appear in court on July 3, 2019.

Crime of the week seeks theft suspect
Officials with Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in identifying a theft suspect.
A woman is accused of stealing a Samsung cell phone, a laptop, and jewelry from a house on Communication Road, near Blenheim. The homeowners returned to the residence and spotted her running away while carrying a red Bauer duffle bag.
Crime Stoppers described the female suspect as a white woman, in her late 20s, with blond hair, and is short with a heavy set. She was last seen getting into a small blue car.
