Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after crash in Chatham

A 21-year-old woman is charged in connection with a crash in Chatham that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.

Chatham-Kent police said the crash took place on Raleigh Street near Richmond Street just before 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The 55-year-old Chatham woman on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital in Chatham before being transferred to Windsor.

The 21-year-old Elora woman who was driving the car that was involved in the crash was charged with making an unsafe turn.

The damages are estimated at $7,000.
