UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch lifted

Environment Canada has ended all severe thunderstorm watches for Southwestern Ontario.

The watch was issued Saturday morning around 10:45 a.m. for London-Middlesex, Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, and Elgin County.  The watch was later upgraded to a warning as strong storms passed through the region. However, once they passed, the warnings were lifted. However, severe thunderstorm watches were still in effect as forecasters said conditions were still favourable for the development of thunderstorms Saturday night.

All watches were lifted before midnigt.
