Man arrested after allegedly threatening neighbour

A 52-year-old Chatham man is in trouble with police after an exchange with one of his neighbours took a nasty turn.

Officers said the man was arrested and charged with uttering threats towards his neighbour after police followed up on a complaint about a disturbance outside of a residence on Queen Street in Chatham early Sunday morning.

Police said the man was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Arrested on an outstanding warrant

A 37-year-old man who was wanted by Windsor police was arrested in Chatham Sunday morning.

Officers said the man, who was wanted for undisclosed offences, was turned over to officers in Windsor for court purposes.

Domestic assault charges laid

A 38-year-old man is charged with assault and forcible confinement in connection after police investigated a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.

Police said they received the call Sunday night, adding that the man they arrested was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
