Woman caught on warrant

Police are able to scratch one name off their wanted list.

On Saturday night officers located a 26-year-old Chatham female on Adelaide Street. The woman was wanted on a warrant for breach of probation.

She was arrested and taken to the police station where she's waiting for a bail hearing.

--------- Public intoxication leads to arrest

A man had to spend some time with the police after having a little bit too much to drink.

The 39-year-old was found by officers on King Street in Chatham early Sunday morning. He was so intoxicated that he was unable to care for himself so police did it for him.

Officers arrested the man and held him in police custody until he was sober.

Chatham-Kent Police held a successful RIDE program on the eve of St. Patrick's Day.

Saturday night around 300 vehicles were stopped and checked.

Police administered one roadside test but in the end, no one was caught driving impaired.
