Special visitor comes to Essex County & Chatham-Kent

Ontario's Lieutenant Governor will be visiting Southwestern Ontario this week.

Elizabeth Dowdeswell will be stopping in Essex County and Chatham-Kent on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, she will start the day touring Walpole Island First Nation, then meet with Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain for a roundtable in the afternoon to talk about economic growth. The Lieutenant Governor will finish the day by visiting Point Pelee National Park.

On Wednesday, Dowdeswell will meet with Leamington Mayor Hilda MacDonald, then tour Aphria cannabis greenhouse operation and discuss the emerging role of cannabis in Ontario’s agricultural economy. That will be followed by a roundtable to talk about the greenhouse industry in Leamington and Essex County.
