Pre-package salad recalled due to Listeria concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Eat Smart brand Sweet Kale Vegetable Salad Bag Kit over the risk of possible Listeria contamination.

The recalled product is the 340-gram bag with a best before date of February 16. The CFIA suggests that anyone who has purchased this product throw it away or return it to the store they bought it from.

According to the CFIA, food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms of Listeria include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, headache and neck stiffness. If you think you have become sick from consuming the recalled product, call your doctor immediately
